Mullins-X™

Mullins-X™ catheters were developed in collaboration with Dr. Chuck Mullins and are an ultra high pressure dilatation balloon catheter.  The catheters are designed for use in indications requiring extremely high pressures.  The Mullins-X™ is available in a range of diameters (12.0-25.0mm) and lengths (3.0-4.0cm).

Unique Benefits

Mullins-X™ balloons are made with a special laminated construction which provides a rated burst pressure (RBP) up to 14 ATM.  The catheters are coaxially constructed with a non-compliant high pressure balloon suitable for resistant stenosis.  The balloon catheter has four platinum marker bands for precise positioning.  This includes two bands fitted below the shoulder of the balloon and two in the middle section of the balloon.  The distal shaft through the balloon is highly flexible for exceptional maneuverability.  This combined with the pushability of the coaxial shaft, provides outstanding tracking performance.

The catheter body is Polymeric, DEHP-free, and not made with natural rubber latex. The balloon is a thermoplastic elastomer; non-compliant - which will not exceed +/- 10% of the labeled balloon size at RBP, is DEHP-free, and not made with natural rubber latex.
